The earthquake was very heavy and noisy, the people wake up, run from their houses and apartments. The buildings oscillate and house stuff shacked and fell all over. Some people lost a cup of tee other people lost everything…
Communications yesterday and today are very difficult, almost impossible. In a lot of the affected places there is no water or electricity, the government is working to regularize this situation. The highways are with problems, and some villages and cities are totally or partiality isolated.
Food and fuel: Modern life is turning to be an annoyance, people is going to the fuel stations trying to get a full tank (unnecessary, schools are suspended until the second week of March, in Santiago public transportation is working and Metro Subway is running almost normal today) Supermarkets are closed, and crazy and hungry people broke in to get food. Some supermarket companies will open this afternoon.
Communications and news from Maule and Bio Bio regions are still kaput. We are still trying to reach our friends there (Concepcion, Canete and Talcahuano)
