So, we are so happy to tell you that we have been 1 year traveling South America :D Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina and then Chile again!
Some reflections:
When we started this trip we just had $500 bucks and the hope to learn more about people, countries and how the culture of our neighbors are mixed in this Southern America. In the middle of the trip we lost a memory card from Machu Picchu, we lost some weight (now we are recovering), we left our jobs and some kind of living, specially one of us, always in a big city, polluted, with some good cafes and lots of recitals (for South America I mean).

During the morning in Trujillo we decided to go first to Bolivia and we stopped our northern trip by Peru, we bought our bus tickets to Lima and then to Cuzco (our first idea was to go to Tarapoto and then to … who knows…) Lima was a futile step and the bus to Cuzco was a mix of good service and baby stinky passengers throwing dirty diapers out of the window (wtf!).
When we arrived to Cuzco,

Trujillo, Peru
If you are ever in Trujillo go to the Market, it seems to be the only interesting thing in that city.
Yumi ceviche (picture), tasty toffe&caramel (natilla con manjar blanco) and refreshing fruit juice.
Lima, Peru
Eating a cheese sandwich cut with a swiss knife in front of a thousand policeman, while the national guard band was playing “El Bolero de Ravel”, Vangelis and other appropriate themes for the change of the guard…
Sweet Lima, Peru
Our last afternoon in Arequipa was dedicated to find something sweeeeeet, saddly we couldn´t find anything :( just a disapointing queso helado (ice cream)
The road to Lima was replete of curves, and in the middle of the night when almost all the people was sleeping the bus drivers competed against each others almost like Monaco Grand Prix xD
We woke up in the middle of the desert, when I looked out the window and saw a tinny malnourished girl walking in a garbage dump in Tupac Amaru village.
Before midday Lima appeared, grey, contaminated and sad. Shop windows distract you from this, offering you good meals and sweets :p
In our way to the next bus we found heaven!!! A sweets shop offering suspiro a la limeña (picture), leche asada, cocadas, etc. It was :D
We have a lot of stories to tell since we departed from Arequipa. We went to the north of Peru to Lima, Huaraz, Chavin, Trujillo. After that we went to Cuzco, The Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu. And then to Copacabana, we were stuck in that village, waiting for the bank to open.
Be Careful!!! In Copacabana there are no ATM’s, banks open when they want! and you can’t pay with credit cards. Bring cash with you!!!!
About the picture: Maracuya and Mango ice creams at Huaraz. YUMI! ^^!!!
Sunrise in Cabanaconde.
You can see more mules than people.
Cause everybody is probably working at the fields.
