Concepcion is one of the biggest cities in Chile, it always looks like an hyper active town, full of sounds, young people in the park, and at night pubs, discotheques and streets
6 weeks after the mega earthquake and tsunami, people are starting with their normal lifes, and some of them are going to the cinema, bars, birthdays, etc. All those activities look like a very normal thing, but, what happens when you don’t have a vehicle and you have to use public transportation? there is no security and some of the street are without light and the people are mostly in their houses before 9 PM!

Talcahuano is recuperating one step at a time!!!
On February 27, Chile suffered a magnitude 8.8 earthquake. Tumbes Park´s instalations were severly damaged as well as looted and vandalized, destroying many years of work by the Comité Nacional Pro Defensa de la Fauna y Flora, CODEFF, and the Talcahuano local Government.
Parque Tumbes is a natural area of 120 hectares, located in one of the most vulnerable sections of the Talcahuano community, in the region of Biobio. It is time to revive it once again.

The earthquake was very heavy and noisy, the people wake up, run from their houses and apartments. The buildings oscillate and house stuff shacked and fell all over. Some people lost a cup of tee other people lost everything…
Communications yesterday and today are very difficult, almost impossible. In a lot of the affected places there is no water or electricity, the government is working to regularize this situation. The highways are with problems, and some villages and cities are totally or partiality isolated.
Food and fuel: Modern life is turning to be an annoyance, people is going to the fuel stations trying to get a full tank (unnecessary, schools are suspended until the second week of March, in Santiago public transportation is working and Metro Subway is running almost normal today) Supermarkets are closed, and crazy and hungry people broke in to get food. Some supermarket companies will open this afternoon.
Communications and news from Maule and Bio Bio regions are still kaput. We are still trying to reach our friends there (Concepcion, Canete and Talcahuano)
