Concepcion is one of the biggest cities in Chile, it always looks like an hyper active town, full of sounds, young people in the park, and at night pubs, discotheques and streets
6 weeks after the mega earthquake and tsunami, people are starting with their normal lifes, and some of them are going to the cinema, bars, birthdays, etc. All those activities look like a very normal thing, but, what happens when you don’t have a vehicle and you have to use public transportation? there is no security and some of the street are without light and the people are mostly in their houses before 9 PM!
Few days after the earthquake military forces, police and firemen were protecting 24 hrs day the population. Now when everything is supposedly back in order, the police is the only institution in charge in the town.
Long story short, waiting half an hour for a bus at midnight wasn’t fun at all. But running in downtown at 12:30 am to get home, without lights in the streets and nobody around was more than scary…
