Spring is coming! Chilean Bicentenary and Valdivia Film Festival

There are two important events coming in Chile in the next two months. Fiestas Patrias, which is Chile’s national day, this year is specially important because it commemorates 200 years of independence. And the 17th version of the Valdivia International Film Festival.

In 1993 the first International film festival was born in Valdivia. Since then, the Valdivia International Film Festival has become well known in Chile and the world, it became a stage for directors known worldwide. More than 4,000 productions have passed through the many venues of our festival, some which gained much success and international recognition later on.
